Between 1954 and 1962, Victor Franklin was principal tenor with the Elizabethan Theatre Opera Trust (now known as Opera Australia). He sang the lead tenor role in more than 20 operas, including The Bartered Bride, La Boheme, The Tales of Hoffmann, Madam Butterfly and Tosca.
