The word fashion instantly brings to mind a flash of beautiful colors with a dash of glamour and chutzpah. Fashion plays an increasingly important role in an individual’s life because it is considered as a means of self-expression. The garments and accessories the male and female wear distinguish them from others.

Fashion is the way of life, a reflection of inner beauty, complete with comfort quotient. Though fashion trends keep changing and most fashion divas and fashion designers and the models are the ones to make them.

Paris, Milan, New York have always been the fashion hubs. Now metro cities in India too are catching up with the new trends and styles. Here the major source of influence in fashion is Bollywood. The youth is the major follower of the latest fashion trends.

In my fashion sketch, I used primarily watercolors to make it look more trendy and vibrant. For outlines, I used a pen to highlight the contours.

The light symbolizes knowledge, positivity, prosperity and good health. Lighting diyas on daily basis is considered highly auspicious. It is said that regular lighting of diyas removes darkness, ignorance. 

It is the customary rule in India to start all the auspicious religious events or social functions by lighting the lamps. It believes that we invite the divine to come and bless us. Traditional oil lamp, with a cotton wick, has a spiritual significance. The wick symbolizes the ego and the oil symbolizes our negative tendencies. Light represents the presence of the Almighty. It gives life, destroys evil. It is the purest form of energy.
