Espresso Martini Illustration

Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world. Its plant is native to tropical Africa (having its origin in Ethiopia and Sudan). It’s now cultivated in over 70 countries. Coffee has now become an international drink consumed almost by everybody.

Coffee contains a chemical called caffeine, a stimulant that keeps people awake. It helps to boost the performance of people at work.
Today coffee is used in many edibles like chocolates, cakes, biscuits and cookies which children love to eat. Even some cocktails are made coffee-flavored which are quite popular with people.

Here I painted an espresso martini illustration. I used a pen and the watercolor for it. Pen for the outlining and colors for the dimensions of the glass and liquid.

Thanks and have a blessed day ahead.

Flowers to Infinity

Flowers are the most wonderful creations of nature. They are the Gods finest workmanship in the world. We become cheerful and happy at just a sight of them. Their thousands of colors attract us.

Several occasions in our society such as birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, weddings etc need flowers to celebrate. They are used for decorating homes and temples. We offer flowers to our deities and loved ones.

They are very soothing to our eyes. A mere sight of them brings much pleasure and peace to our minds. No wonder writers and poets sing the praise of these flowers. People often compare the pretty faces with them.

Here I painted a picture of flowers beautifying the staircase. This is a very common sight in European neighborhoods. I used graphite pencil for a rough sketch. Then I darkened it with pen and filled with watercolors.

Hope I gave my best.

Thanks and have a nice day ahead.

Eid al-Fitr

The most important festival for Hindus is Deepawali, for Christians, Christmas and for Muslims, it is Eid-al-Fitr. Eid al-Fitr means breaking the barriers and joining in the celebration with groups of different traditions. On the day of Eid people meet, greet each other, exchange gifts and sweets.

Eid or other festivals are basically a part of the social culture. Festivals are not meant just for the exchange of gifts. They are more than that. After getting dressed and ready for the day, Muslims gather for prayers in mosques or outdoor locations. They join their palms face upwards in a gesture known as “dua” to thank Allah for his infinite blessings. Reading pages from the Islamic Holy Book, the Quran, forms a crucial part of the Eid prayers. The rest of the ceremonies are generally held privately with families and friends.

It is one of the most joyful days in the Islamic calendar, with mosques and streets filled with color and gaiety. As in every important Indian festival, henna or Mehendi also forms an important part of Eid celebrations as well. Though the main Eid is celebrated on one day, the festival inevitably continues for two more days.

This painting is made on cartridge sheet with black pen and pencil colors.

'Venus in Fur' is not as shocking as it thinks it is, but The Street’s production is clearly one that audiences will respond to.
