Flamenco dance is a very passionate, emotional and expressive Spanish dance form. It’s a solo dance characterized by hand clapping, complex rhythmic patterns, fierce footwork and intricate hands and body movements.
This art form was mainly originated by Andalusian gypsies. It was a musical outlet for the poor and oppressed and was not common amongst the higher class. Originally the guitar served as the companion of flamenco dance.
Dancers through their dance tell stories of love and romance or the sorrow and grief, fury and anguish and of hope. The dancers absorb themselves in the music and become with the song. This dance can be fiery and fast or slow or mournful. The younger people embracing this dance more because of its charming and sensual form.
Here I painted a simple drawing of a flamenco dancer. I used a pen and watercolor for it.
Thanks and have a nice day ahead.
