[HRW] Fighting for a healthy environment in South Africa's coal mining communities can be perilous. At least three activists have been killed in the last three years. Many have been attacked or threatened for raising concerns about the effects that mining, especially coal mining, has on the environment and health of their communities. Some see the activists as threats in South Africa where mining is big business, making it the world's seventh-largest coal producer. Birgit Schwarz talks to Robby Mokgalaka,
