Father and Child

It’s hard to put into words why the relationship between a father and a child is so special. Fathers play a huge part in a child’s upbringing and are one of the most influential people in his/her life. Their bond is as great as a mother and a child. Father is central to the emotional well-being of the child. While mothers often get the credit, let’s not leave the fathers in the cold.

Even in art and creative world, many poems and stories have been written on this beautiful relationship. Artists too have painted their heart out beautifully on this subject.

Here in this pencil drawing, I tried to depict the sweet bonding between father and child. The way the father is holding the hand of his baby is showing the warmth and care.

I used 3h for the basic outlines and then finished the sketch using 6b and 8b graphite pencils. For shading, I used blending stumps and earbuds.
